Stacey John-Davis | We want to keep this going for the rest of the season
Stacey John-Davis wants Swansea City to keep driving forward after a positive start to the Genero Adran Premier Phase Two.
Victory against Cardiff City Women was snatched away in the seventh minute of injury time when they opened Phase Two with a 2-2 draw against the Bluebirds at Llandarcy Academy of sport.
But they bounced back from late heartbreak in that game with a statement 4-0 win against Cardiff Met Women last time out.
John-Davis grabbed the headlines with her hat-trick and player of the match performance earning her a place in league's team of the week and Sgorio's 5-y-penwythnos,which highlights the five best performers from across all the Welsh domestic leagues.
The Swans top scorer feels that recent performances had filled her side with confidence that she hopes will continue for the remainder of the season.
“It’s nice to get three points and it was a really good performance from the girls so we are all really proud of it,” said John-Davis.
“It’s always good for me to be all able to contribute with goals, but it was a good overall performance from the girls and some great assists.
“As a team we are all really confident, we’ve put together two tremendous performances in phase two so far, we should have came away with more against Cardiff and we got what we deserved against Met.
“The confidence we have is going to give us a bit of momentum to keep going because we are unbeaten for five months in the league, we want to keep this going for the rest of the season and prove that we can go on and push forward.”
