Stacey John-Davis was delighted to be back on the scoresheet at the Swansea.com Stadium and felt her side's south Wales derby win was an important step towards their goals this season.

The Swans returned to the Swansea.com Stadium for the second time this season, welcoming 2,225 supporters.

John-Davis delivered the winning goal for the Swans, winning the ball back on the edge of the Cardiff box before coolly finishing for her third goal of the season.

The forward was delighted to get three points in the south Wales derby, but knows it is a first step as her side have their sights set on silverware.

“There isn’t much more you can ask for than to come away with three points and to get a goal,” said John-Davis.

“To help the team get the win is the main thing, but to get on the scoresheet in this stadium is an amazing feeling.

“It gets better and better every time, the fans that were out there today were first class and we thank every single one of them for coming on a Sunday evening.

“It’s a massive step, but it is just the first step, we have to play them again and probably again after that, so we know this is just a step for where we want to go this season.

“We want that league title, we want all three cups this year and we aren’t shying away from that.

“We are putting out performances every single week that we are proud of and we do mean business this season.

“I would never have expected crowds like that when I started playing football, it’s absolutely amazing where the women’s game has been going in the last couple of years.”
