Small details can make big difference, says Tom
Tom Carroll believes fine-tuning small details will make a big difference in the Swans’ fortunes.
Paul Clement’s side sit outside the bottom three solely on goal difference ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Premier League newboys Brighton.
Last weekend saw the Swans beaten 2-1 at Arsenal, with five of their six defeats so far coming with a one-goal deficit.
And Carroll feels a change in fortunes is just around the corner as the Swans look to bounce back on home soil against the Seagulls.
“Looking at the season so far, we are disappointed with how it’s gone,” said Carroll. “We know we can do better and should be in a better position in the league.
“But I don’t think we are far off a big change in results.
“The games we have lost have been to very fine margins. If the small details fall into place then we will be on the right track.
“And, of course, it would be great to get the result we want on Saturday because it’s in front of our own fans and we have not produced the results we have wanted to at the Liberty this season.
“We want to change our home form around and we have that opportunity against Brighton.
“They are well organised side, but it’s up to us to get our fans on their feet and create chances and score goals to win the game.”
