Silent Night at the Liberty
3rd December
Swansea City will be commemorating a remarkable First World War event at the Liberty Stadium on Thursday (Dec 4), starting at 7pm.
On Christmas Day in 1914, troops on the front line ceased fire to sing the much-loved Christmas carol Silent Night, exchange gifts and play football.
To mark the centenary of the 1914 Christmas Truce, the Swans, alongside the Ospreys, Swansea Hope and Sports Chaplaincy Wales, invite you to join them in celebrating Christmas together in the unique surroundings of the Liberty.
The evening promises to be a lively mixture of carols, music and readings. Kevin Johns MBE will be speaking at the event while the Swansea Salvation Army Band, the Ospreys Supporters Choir and Mal Pope will provide the music.
Tickets are priced at £3, while there will also be collection buckets should you wish to donate to SwansAid, the South Wales Pirates and Swansea Hope projects.
Tickets are available from the Liberty Stadium or online by clicking HERE.
