Sigurdsson scores as Iceland are held
18th June
Gylfi Sigurdsson scored from the penalty spot as Iceland were cruelly denied a first victory at a major tournament after they were pegged back by Hungary's 88th-minute equaliser.
The Swans midfielder looked composed as he coolly slotted home and sent keeper Gabor Kiraly the wrong way in the 39th minute.
And just as Iceland were on course for a vital three points, Birkir Saevarsson deflected a cross into his own net as both sides claimed a share of the spoils.
Iceland sit in second spot in Group F with two points, with their last game against Austria on Wednesday.
