Sebastian Dabrowski is excited by what the future could hold for him at Swansea City after signing a new deal at the club.

The Polish-born defender stepped up to the under-18 squad for the first time during the 2020-21 season, when he was just 15 years old.

Dabrowski signed his first professional contract in November 2022, and the 19-year-old is thrilled to have committed to the club he has been at since under-nine level.

"I'm excited to have signed a new deal. I signed my pro deal nearly two years ago, but now I have more security on being here," said Dabrowski.

"I'm grateful to have earned more time at this club I've been at since I was so young, and to make my first-team debut is the dream.

"I've had that exposure within the first-team environment over the past couple of years, and it's given me the motivation to want more."

He made the step up to under-21 level prior to the 2022-23 campaign, making his debut in the opening game of the against Sheffield Wednesday.

He went on to score on just his second appearance for the development side, firing home a dramatic late equaliser against Crewe.

And his quick progression through the ranks has given the youngster extra motivation to push for senior football.

"I think it's everyone's dream to play for their club they've been at since they were young, and hopefully, over the next few years I can make that dream come true," he added.

"My goals remain the same, to keep working hard and all I can do is keep learning and hopefully, it will pay off in the future."

After an injury-hit season last campaign, Dabrowski is grateful for the support shown from his family, coaches and teammates.

And the Wales age-grade international, also eligible to represent Poland, hopes he can be a role model for his younger brother, who plays for Swansea City Under-13s.

"My family committed a lot of their time travelling back and forth just so I could get to training, I wouldn't be here without them," he said.

"The coaches have been fantastic, they've really pushed me and bring the best out of me. I went through a difficult time with injuries over the last two seasons, and they were there every step of the way, as were the squad.

"I hope my younger brother can look up to me, and see that he can be in this position in the future. I want to set a good example for him, and I'm grateful to be in that position."
