Sam Surridge recalled from Swansea City loan spell
Striker Sam Surridge has left Swansea City after being recalled from his loan spell by AFC Bournemouth.
Surridge moved to the Liberty Stadium on an initial season-long loan deal in the summer, but the Premier League side today triggered their January option of recalling the 21-year-old after being hit by injuries.
The striker scored seven times for the Swans in 23 appearances in all competitions, with his performances enough to earn him a maiden representative call-up and cap for England Under-21s.
Swans boss Steve Cooper will look to replace Surridge at the earliest opportunity with the January transfer window opening today.
Swansea City would like to thank Sam for his efforts and wish him well back on the south coast.
