Russell Martin has urged his Swansea City side to continue to show the courage and resilience that has helped them produce a good run of form on the back of a tough period.

The Swans have taken 10 points from their last four games, and kept three clean sheets into the bargain.

They will look to continue that sequence when they host a Huddersfield side fighting for Championship survival at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday.

Martin’s side endured a difficult run in the wake of the January transfer window, with the head coach saying he takes responsibility for that spell, but he feels he, his staff and the players will all be the better for those experiences and their ability to come through it.

"There is a nice feeling in the group, I am proud of the way everyone has come through a tough period. In particular I am proud of the courage the players have shown over last four games, and even before that,” he said.

"The supporters have been amazing, they have supported the team incredibly well and you could see the amount of people at the bank holiday games, which was terrific.

"So, we are in a good place, but the challenge is to keep it going and find some consistency between now and the end of the season.

"It's hard to come through a period like we had, but I think it will be a big part of us moving forward.

"We have learned so much and I will be a better manager and coach for it. It is not nice when you are in the middle of it, but I think we will be grateful for it because it has made us better and it will make us better.

"I don't think we will have a tougher period than that. Times like that are tough, but they build resilience and we have shown togetherness to find our path through it.

"Now we have to keep that going, starting with this game against Huddersfield."
