Russell Martin | Everyone is enjoying their football, let's keep it going
Russell Martin wants to keep the fun going and for Swansea City to continue to show the courage and intensity that has made them the form side in the Championship.
The Swans head to the MKM Stadium to take on Hull City on Saturday having taken 19 points from the last 21 on offer.
Of the six wins in the last seven games, the most recent pair of victories have come in impressive fashion against play-off chasing Preston and Norwich and has seen Martin’s side close to within three points of the top six.
But the aim for Martin and his players is firmly based around maintaining their own standards and making sure their excellent run carries over these last two games.
“We are focused on performance because that is what has helped us go on this run, and we want to keep it going over these final two games,” he said.
“We want to play with the same courage and intensity we have shown over this last six weeks or so because it has been amazing.
“To watch the growth of the team has given me so much pride and gratitude.
“To do what we are doing at the moment in this league is not easy, with the youth of the squad and on the back of the run we were on.
“All those factors make it so impressive and I a having a lot of fun watching the players, I am having a lot of fun working with them every day.
“I think they are having a lot of fun on the pitch, which is showing, and I think the supporters are having a lot of fun watching in the stands, as well.
“It’s been a nice period and we really want to keep it going. We want to win.”
