Report | Swindon Town Women 3 Swansea City Ladies 2
Swansea City Ladies suffered a first defeat of pre-season away at Swindon Town Women.
The home side went ahead through a powerful strike, before Stacey John-Davis equalised just before the break.
Chloe Chivers put the Swans in front with an incredible effort directly from a corner, but two goals in three minutes were enough for the hosts to get the victory.
After some early pressure from the home side, Swindon would take the lead, a great strike from the edge of the box giving Opal Rayner no chance in the Swansea City goal.
Chivers came close to an equaliser not long after, latching onto a cross from Ellie Lake, but her effort flashed across the face of the Swindon goal from a tight angle.
But the Swans would be level before the break, John-Davis getting on the end of a great ball from Jess Williams before rounding the keeper and tapping home.
The Swans then surged ahead early in the second half, an incredible curling effort from Chivers going in directly from a corner at the back post.
The hosts would then level after being awarded a dubious corner, a Swindon trialist powering home a header to make it 2-2.
Swindon would be ahead again soon after, a long ball forward playing in the Robins forward to slot home.
The Swans continued to push, with John-Davis and Jess Williams coming close to levelling once again, but the Swans would suffer defeat in their second pre-season fixture as they step up preparations for the new season.
