Swansea City Ladies made it two from two in the Genero Adran Premier with a narrow win over Barry Town United Ladies.
Stacey John-Davis netted the game’s only goal, stepping up to the spot to bury a penalty.
The Swans controlled the majority of proceedings, limiting Barry to minimal chances throughout the game and coming close to a second a number of times.
John-Davis, scorer of a spectacular lob in the opening weekend win over Cardiff Met, put the Swans ahead with an 16th minute penalty.
Monet Legall was brought down in the box by the Barry goalkeeper after breaking the defence. John-Davis stepped up to the spot and placed a shot into the top right corner to give the Swans the lead.
Jessica Williams almost made it two for Swansea, a great delivery from Ellie Lake finding the defender at the back post, but her volley flew over the bar.
The Swans continued to search for a second, a great run from Legall finding her space down the right, she found the goal scorer John-Davis in the box, but she couldn’t convert.
John-Davis came close again just before the break, a great ball from Ellie Lake found the forward, but her effort flashed across the face of the goal.
The Swans remained in control of the second half with the ball spending the majority of the game in the Barry half.
Williams almost found an immediate breakthrough after the restart, another fantastic delivery from Lake found the defender, but her headed effort was well held.
Both Katy Hosford and John-Davis looked for lofted efforts as the goalkeeper left her line, but neither could quite find the right lift to double the lead.
But it did not matter as the Swans made it two wins and two clean sheets from two games.
