Jerry Yates' header helped Swansea City remain unbeaten on home soil as Michael Duff’s side played out a draw against Coventry City at the Swansea.com Stadium.
The home side had trailed to Matty Godden’s finish late in the first half, but responded almost immediately through Yates’ near-post finish as the striker netted his second goal of the season.
The home side had chances to claim victory, with Jay Fulton, Harry Darling and Joel Piroe all having sights of goal as it ended all-square in SA1.
The Swans had shown one change from defeat at West Bromwich Albion, with Charlie Patino handed a first start in place of Ollie Cooper.
It proved a lively start, Haji Wright making a threatening run for the visitors that ended with Ben Cabango making an important challenge, before Fulton flashed narrowly wide from distance after being set up by good work from Joel Piroe.
Wright then wasted an excellent chance for the visitors as he sliced horribly wide having been teed up by Milan van Ewijk’s cross.
Swans keeper Carl Rushworth then made an excellent claim to grasp Wright’s bouncing cross as Matty Godden waited to pounce in the middle.
The hosts then worked Harrison Ashby into space down the right flank, but his final cross was too strong and cleared Piroe as he made a run to the far post.
Patino then picked out Darling from a drifted corner delivery, but the defender’s header was straight into the arms of Ben Wilson in the Sky Blues goal.
The visitors took the lead seven minutes before the break through Godden. The forward laid off to Tatsuhiro Sakamoto who in turn fed the ball into Wright.
The American’s lay-off was straight into the path of the advancing Godden, who steered the ball into the far corner of the net.
Swansea needed a response and they had one inside two minutes.
A raking pass sent Harrison Ashby into space down the right and his volleyed cross picked out Yates’ near-post run for the striker to send a glancing header into the far corner of the net.
It ensured the sides were level at the interval, although Coventry had a couple of promising moments early in the second period as they tried to free Godden, but the offside flag and an excellent intervention from Nathan Wood brought those attacks to a halt.
Piroe dragged an effort wide at the other end after fine work by Harry Darling, Ashby and Matt Grimes had worked room for the Dutchman 20 yards out.
Swansea then produced a lovely move as Grimes, Patino, Fulton and Yates dovetailed and came so close to sending Piroe in on goal, but the final pass was just too heavy.
Fulton then made the most of Yates’ persistence to race away with a loose ball and try to pick out Piroe, the striker kept the ball in but then ran out of space as he attempted to trick his way beyond a defender near the byline.
Kyle McFadzean headed over at the other end from a corner but the Swans were starting to build up a head of steam, and Fulton forced Wilson to gather at the second attempt after good work by Piroe and Yates.
Duff sent on Liam Cullen, Joe Allen and Azeem Abdulai for the final 10 minutes after his side had successfully defended a string of Coventry corners.
Piroe was unable to properly control a loose ball that fell for him on the edge of the six-yard box at the start of seven minutes of second-half stoppage time, while Darling could not make contact with a late corner having been unsighted by players in front of him as the spoils were shared.
