Swansea City Ladies are building momentum before the start of the season.

Swansea City Ladies continued their fine form in pre-season with a 3-1 victory over Exeter Women at Llandarcy.

Ian Owen’s side built on victories over TNS (3-1) and Swindon Town (4-1) with another fine performance in their latest outing.

Emma Beynon got the ball rolling by putting the hosts ahead on the half-hour mark before Lauren Smith added another after 55 minutes.

Stacey John-Davis rounded off a pleasing afternoon for the Swans, who are building momentum ahead of their Welsh Premier Women’s League opener against defending champions Cardiff Met on September 8.

"I’m delighted with the performance and result against Exeter,” said Owen. “They started the game well and we needed to show that we can cope with that type of pressure.

“As we settled down our passing game enabled us to take control and we maintained a high tempo throughout the 90 minutes which saw us dominate the second half and score three great goals.

“Once again the youngsters played their part and Brooke Llewelyn's performance at centre-back bodes well for the future."
