Report | Merthyr Saints 1 Swansea City Under-18s 4
Swansea City Under-18s prepared for the new campaign with a 4-1 triumph at Merthyr Saints.
Byron Anthony's side came out on top thanks to a Rohan Davies brace and strikes from Joel Cotterill and Cameron Llewelyn.
Cotterill opened the scoring with a brilliant solo goal which saw him burst forward for 30 yards before beating six players and slotting past the goalkeeper.
Davies doubled the Swans' lead when he scored his first from the penalty spot following some fine work by Dan Watts.
Llewelyn then made it three when he picked himself up after being fouled in the box to slot home another penalty.
Davies rounded off a good night's work for the under-18s with a neat finish inside the box as Llewelyn turned provider.
Anthony's side host Newport County in their next friendly on Saturday.
