Swansea City Women picked up a win in their latest pre-season outing with victory over Bristol City Women Under-21s.

Bristol City took the lead early on, before a trialist found an equaliser for the Swans midway through the first half.

Lucy Finch would fire the visitors in front just before the break with a long-range effort, before Stacey John-Davis extended the lead after the interval.

The Swans fell behind early on, a shot from distance was saved by Charlie Haynes, but a Robins forward was on hand to tap home the rebound.

Katy Hosford almost levelled six minutes later, a good cross from John-Davis found the forward at the back post, but her headed effort hit the woodwork.

But the Swans would soon equalise; Hosford’s ball into the box picked out Trialist A in space to finish neatly from close range.

Finch then have the Swans lead just before half-time as her curling effort from long distance flew over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

The Swans would add to their tally early in the second half, Rachel Cullen’s ball set up John-Davis to volley home into the bottom left corner.
