Read our free digital Maggie's matchday programme
Swansea City’s free digital programme for our home fixture against Plymouth Argyle is dedicated to our Maggie’s matchday, in support of our official charity partner.
Maggie’s Swansea centre – based in the grounds of Singleton Hospital – provides a range of vital free services to people within our community who have been impacted by cancer.
These range from bereavement counselling, to financial assistance, relaxation techniques and support groups. The expected cost of continuing to deliver these services during 2024 is approximately £700,000.
Swansea City and Maggie’s have combined for the ‘Tackling Cancer Together’ campaign, which centres around people sharing their stories of being impacted by cancer, because no-one faces cancer alone.
Within the programme you will hear the cancer stories of people such as lifelong Swans fan Matthew Collins, who is currently fundraising for a groundbreaking treatment to prolong his life, having been diagnosed with Glioblastoma in October 2023.
Kev Johns will also tell us about his experience, and how the campaign with Maggie’s led him to tell his story at the club’s fans’ forum in the autumn.
You can also hear how our academy and Women’s teams have fared, as well as the latest from the Swansea City AFC Foundation.
