Przemyslaw Placheta | There is plenty more to come from me and this team
Przemyslaw Placheta believes there is much, much more to come from him and Swansea City after an eye-catching full debut for the winger in victory at Hull City.
The 25-year-old Poland international was handed a start at the MKM Stadium on the back of a lively cameo against Plymouth Argyle.
He made the most of the opportunity, with the pace of he and Ronald on the flanks allowing Swansea to stretch the home defence, deliver a number of crosses into the box, and create pockets of space to play in.
But the former Norwich player feels there is plenty more to come from him, given he has had just over a week training with his new colleagues.
And he is also sure the Swans can go from strength to strength as they continue to learn and adapt under head coach Luke Williams.
“For my first start to end like this is great, I am buzzing to be honest, for this win and for the hard work everyone put in on the pitch right until the end,” he said.
“You could see it was not a great pitch, but we played well, we created chances and we were good from set-pieces, so we have to be pleased with the performance.
“And in the Championship you know you are going to have to defend well, and everyone has to play their part in that, and we all did.
“But I think we can look forward now, we played well but we all feel we can play much, much better if we work hard and continue to improve.
“There is big potential in this team. I hope I will get much, much better too. I know I can do it, but I am very happy to have made my first start for the team and to have been part of a win.”
With games against Leeds United and Ipswich Town coming up in the week ahead, Placheta is likely to get the chance to get more minutes under his belt.
He admitted his appetite has only been whetted by the support of the Jack Army, who shared the victory on Humberside with players and staff after the final whistle.
“I just want more of it now, especially when you have a nice moment with the fans like we did after the game,” he added.
“We could feel their support throughout the game, and it was important we went to celebrate this win with them because it is a huge commitment to travel such a long way to support us.
“As players we appreciate it. I hope we can have more moments like these.”
