Price out to complete Youth Cup hat-trick
Tom Price will be aiming to complete a hat-trick of FAW Youth Cup titles with Swansea City Under-19s should he feature in tonight’s final against TNS at Park Avenue (7.30pm).
The young Swans are looking to maintain their hold on the trophy by securing a 10th consecutive victory at the home of Aberystwyth Town.
Supporters can watch the game live via the FAW Facebook page HERE.
And, for 19-year-old Price, it would be a third win on the bounce in his final season of eligibility.
The midfielder featured in the Swans’ victory over Cambrian & Clydach at the Cardiff City Stadium in 2017, whilst also appearing in last year’s showpiece against Cardiff at the Liberty.
He admits the pressure will be on this evening as the Swans, who have beaten Aberystwyth, Merthyr Town and Cardiff in this season’s competition, as they bid for an historic triumph.
“I’ve won the trophy over the past couple of years and would like to win it again in the final season that I am eligible,” he said.
“The boys are looking forward to it. We know it’s going to be a tough game; TNS will give everything they’ve got. But, we’ve got to forget about that and just focus on ourselves.
“There is that added pressure on us because we don’t want to be the team that loses our grip on the trophy. Hopefully, we can keep the run going by winning a 10th straight title.”
