Pre-match views

Jamie Sherwood v Wrexham

First-team manager Jamie Sherwood: "Everyone is very eager to play, it's our first game of 2025, it's been a while since we've been out on the grass competitively.

"We've got to embrace it, it's a great opportunity for the players to write their own headlines, we want to win silverware and this game can take us a step closer to achieving that.

"Wrexham are a good side, strong, athletic, well disciplined, and they are going to pose us a real strong challenge on the weekend. We will be ready for that, but we know it will be a tough game."

Team news

Charlie Haynes v Carmarthen

Charlie Haynes, Sophie Brisland-Hancocks and Jess Williams are all in contention to return from injury, with Haynes and Williams recovering from head injuries, and Brisland-Hancocks having trained following minor knee surgery.

New signings Lauren Davies and Verity Jones are also available for the Swans after the two arrived following the opening of the January transfer window.

Taite Trivett is unavailable as she serves the final part of a three game suspension for a red card picked up in the competition during her time with Barry Town United Women.

Rachel Cullen and Monet Legall remain unavailable as they continue their rehabilitation programmes.

Previous meeting

John-Davis v Wrexham

The two sides last met in September, with the Swans earning three points in front of 1,337 fans at the STōK Racecourse.

Stacey John-Davis nodded the Swans in front as she converted Robyn Pinder’s cross, but Wrexham would be level before the break, Ava Suckley finishing off a counter-attack.

Jess Williams responded for the visitors after the break, heading home a great delivery from Katy Hosford to restore the Swans lead, before Chloe Chivers' free-kick was turned into her own net by Katie Sharp.

Rosie Hughes would net late on for the hosts but it would only be a consolation.
