Swansea City Under-21s continue their Premier League Cup campaign with a trip to the West Midlands to face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns this evening (7pm).

The Swans won their opening group stage fixture in the competition with a 6-0 victory over Fleetwood Town at Poolfoot Farm in September.

The Baggies, meanwhile, drew 2-2 in their first cup outing against Southampton. They failed to make it out of the group stage last term, with Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers advancing.

Swansea made the quarter-finals last season, but were defeated by the Blades at Bramall Lane in the quarter-finals.

Kenneth Zohore scored twice as a youthful Swansea City Under-23s were beaten 2-0 by an experienced West Bromwich Albion side in Premier League 2 Division 2.

Zohore’s second-half brace settled the contest in favour of the hosts, who fielded a strong side possessing bundles of first-team experience through the likes of Chris Brunt and Ahmed Hegazi.

Having had two first-half goals disallowed for offside, striker Zohore headed West Brom in front in the 62nd minute.

He added a second 12 minutes later – drilling home after latching onto a long ball over the top of the Swansea defence.
