Preview | Swansea City Women v Wrexham Women
Swansea City Women welcome Wrexham to Llandarcy Academy of Sport this evening for a crunch final game of phase one in the Genero Adran Premier (5.10pm).
The game sees the teams face off for the final spot in the championship phase of season, with a draw enough for the Swans to secure a place in the top four before the division splits.
The Swans come into the game in search of a first win in four, having netted just one goal in that time. Their last outing was a 5-0 defeat to Wrexham in the Welsh Cup.
The visitors come into the fixture in fine form, having won their last three games, scoring 13 goals over this period and conceding just once.
Pre-match views
First-team manager Jamie Sherwood: “We said after the last game that we are in a tough moment and we need to make sure that we remain resolute.
“We need to play for each other, be the best version of ourselves when we get out onto that pitch to secure what we believe we are capable of securing.
“We all feel we are not achieving our potential at this moment in time, but this Sunday is another opportunity to go out and show what we are capable of.
“Last Sunday was a disappointing result and performance, this weekend is an opportunity for us to put that right.
“We are a club with great tradition and great heritage, we’ve been the forerunners of this league for a number of years. At this present moment in time we don’t have a trophy, but getting into that top four would give us an opportunity to keep chasing that potential of a trophy.”
Previous meeting

Swansea City Women won the first league meeting between the two sides earlier this season, securing a 3-2 win in north Wales.
Stacey John-Davis headed the Swans in front early on, bursting into the box to meet a cross and power her effort past the goalkeeper.
But Wrexham would be level before the break, Ava Suckley finishing off a counter-attack.
Jess Williams would respond for the visitors the break, heading home a great delivery from Katy Hosford to restore the Swans lead, before Chloe Chivers' free-kick was turned into her own net by Katie Sharp.
Rosie Hughes would net late on for the hosts but it would only be a consolation.
