Swans Women v Cardiff Met

Swansea City Women return to Genero Adran Premier action as they welcome Cardiff Met Women to Llandarcy Academy of Sport (2pm kick-off).

The Swans head into the game in a fine run of form, having won 10 of their last 11 games in all competitions, reaching the semi-finals of the Genero Adran Trophy and Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

Cardiff Met sit in sixth place in the table, having won a first league game in five with a midweek victory over bottom of the table Pontypridd United Women.

PRE-MATCH VIEWS

Church vs Barry

Swansea City Women’s interim head coach Chris Church: “We are glad to be back in league action, it’s important to kickstart that again and maintain what we’ve been doing.

“We’re obviously no strangers to Cardiff Met, we faced off last Sunday in the trophy and did very well, but we are expecting a different game.

“It’s another big week for us, we know the players will be switched on and face any challenge that is put in front of them.

“Three points is the priority, staying in that race, and the players have been staking their claim all week in training.”

Katy Hosford vs Cardiff Met

The two sides met just a week ago in the Genero Adran Trophy, with the Swans earning an emphatic 5-0 win to book their place in the semi-finals.

Katy Hosford fired the Swans ahead with her 11th goal of the season, before being brought down in the box and allowing Stacey John-Davis to make it two from the spot.

Robyn Pinder made it three just before half-time, finding space on the edge of the box before firing into the top left corner.

Chloe Chivers sealed the Swans victory with two goals in four minutes after the break, booking a second semi-final of the season for the Swans.
