Preview | Swansea City v Sheffield United
Swansea City will look to put their derby-day disappointment behind them when they host promotion-chasing Sheffield United at the Swansea.com Stadium this evening (7.45pm).
The Swans were beaten by Cardiff City at the weekend, but quickly have an opportunity to respond as the Blades visit SA1.
The visitors enter the midweek fixture sitting second in the table and have lost just four league games all season.
Team news
Head coach Luke Williams may choose to make changes following the disappointing manner of defeat at Cardiff.
Sam Parker and Josh Ginnelly have made recent cameo appearances on returns from long-term injuries, and a starting role is unlikely for the pair as they work their way back to form and fitness.
Kristian Pedersen and Ollie Cooper are absent for the Swans.
Pre-match views
Luke Williams: "The nature of football is that you can lose games, but what it comes down to is the manner in which that happens and the manner in which we lost on Saturday was not acceptable.
"So it is imperative that we respond really well because we do not want there to be a hangover.
"We have to regroup very quickly, get back to making consistent performances and putting points on the board.
"We have to get ourselves heading back in the right direction and being competitive in games."
Chris Wilder: “You expect a reaction. Luke's a guy I've known for a long time, admired his career so far. He's not soft, he wants to win.
“We expect Swansea to be at their best, they can hurt anybody in this division. They play risk and reward, they can open you up and score and they can concede.
“We have to be defensively really good and when we have the opportunity to put somebody to bed we have to make sure we're clinical."

Remember the last time?
Swansea City suffered late heartbreak as Reda Khadra struck a winner with almost the last kick of the game to hand Sheffield United victory on their last visit to the Swansea.com Stadium in September 2022.
The Swans appealed in vain for a foul as Kyle Naughton and Rhian Brewster tangled in the final minute of stoppage time, but referee Darren Bond played on and the Blades forward teed up his team-mate to finish.
It was a harsh outcome for the Swans. Aside from an early save, keeper Steven Benda was a spectator for long spells of the contest and the hosts created a number of clear opportunities.
Joel Piroe went close on a trio of occasions, while Ryan Manning and Ollie Cooper were also so nearly on target.
Prime numbers
4 - The Swans have lost their last four games against the Blades, without scoring a goal. Prior to that run, the Swans had themselves gone four games without loss against United, with Oli McBurnie grabbing the winner in SA1 in 2019.
7 - Swansea have taken seven points from the last three games at the Swansea.com Stadium, courtesy of wins over Queens Park Rangers and Luton Town, and a draw with West Bromwich Albion.
