Preview | Swansea City v Luton Town
Swansea City will look to build on a strong start to their festive fixtures when they host Luton Town at the Swansea.com Stadium this afternoon (3pm).
The Swans ran out 3-0 victors over Queens Park Rangers on Boxing Day as they returned to winning ways.
Head coach Luke Williams was delighted by his side's dominant performance and has challenged them to take on board the reasons for the quality of the showing and replicate them against the Hatters.
The visitors head to south Wales sitting in the lower reaches of the table having been tipped to be among the promotion contenders. They have suffered 12 league defeats in the first half of the season, the joint-most of any team in the Championship.
Team news
It's likely to be a case of same again in terms of the group of players Luke Williams will have to choose from.
Youngster Ben Lloyd will hope to be involved again after making his senior debut on Boxing Day.
Kristian Pedersen, Joe Allen, Sam Parker, Ollie Cooper and Josh Ginnelly are among those on the sidelines for the Swans.
Pre-match views
Luke Williams: “It is so important we back up the performance and the result from Boxing Day.
“We have to concentrate on the way we performed to try and ensure we play football in the correct way.
“We have to make sure we don’t chase the game too much, or push too much by feeling that we have to win the game in the first 10 minutes.
“It’s about making sure we do not lose sight of the performance, and why we performed in this way.
“If we can perform as we did against QPR more regularly, then we will win a lot more games than we lose.”
Rob Edwards: "The lads are disappointed after Boxing Day, of course they are, it hurts when you lose in football.
"But our job is to pick them up and get ready for Sunday, and go and try and attack the game.
"We have to try and do it in the best way possible, it will be a tough game, they will try and dominate, they will want to have the ball all the time.
"They will want to control the game in our half, they are a good team as we saw at our place a few weeks ago.
"We got something from the game but hopefully we can have a better performance this time round."

Remember the last time?
Swansea City fell to defeat as goals from Allan Campbell and Carlton Morris gave Luton Town victory on their last visit to the Swansea.com Stadium in August 2022.
Campbell volleyed in the opener for the Hatters when the ball fell to him on the edge of the area, with substitute Morris adding the second after the break with a fine finish.
The Swans had a sustained period of pressure as they sought a way back into the game during the second half but, aside from a couple of opportunities for Joel Piroe, they struggled to create clear chances and seriously trouble Ethan Horvath in the Luton goal.
Prime numbers
5 - Luton have proven to be stubborn opponents for the Swans recently, with the hosts winless in their last five against the Hatters (two draws, three defeats).
9 - Liam Cullen has already matched his best goals tally for a season after his brace against QPR saw him match the nine he netted during the 2022-23 campaign.
