The Swans have taken 10 points from the last 12 available, recording three clean sheets during that sequence of results as Russell Martin targets a strong end to the season.

Team news

Liam Walsh v Coventry

The Swans are only missing goalkeeper Steven Benda, with the rest of Russell Martin's squad fit and available to face the Terriers.

The head coach will have to decide whether to make changes following the victory at Wigan, where he changed his XI for the first time in four fixtures.

And he has spoken of the need to manage the workloads of players such as Liam Walsh, Joe Allen and Jamie Paterson following their recent returns to action.

Pre-match views

Russell Martin: "There is a nice feeling in the group, I am proud of the way everyone has come through a tough period. In particular I am proud of the courage the players have shown over last four games, and even before that.

"The supporters have been amazing, they have supported the team incredibly well and you could see the amount of people at the bank holiday games, which was terrific.

"So, we are in a good place, but the challenge is to keep it going and find some consistency between now and the end of the season.

"It's hard to come through a period like we had, but I think it will be a big part of us moving forward.

"We have learned so much and I will be a better manager and coach for it. It is not nice when you are in the middle of it, but I think we will be grateful for it because it has made us better and it will make us better.

"I don't think we will have a tougher period than that. Times like that are tough, but they build resilience and we have shown togetherness to find our path through it.

"Now we have to keep that going, starting with this game against Huddersfield."

Neil Warnock: "To be fair they've done the double over Cardiff the last couple of years, which when you are in Cardiff, believe you me, it's not easy to take. They're flying at the moment and they have a great atmosphere there, they get behind the team. It's just about whether we can get the ball really.

"I was a Sheffield United fan and we had derbies in Sheffield but the derbies in Wales are so vociferous, as you'd expect.

"They're a solid side. They're the most possession-based side I've seen in the league and the keep the ball moving really well and have good finishers up front. We need to focus on ourselves and give them a good game."

Remember the last time?

Joel Piroe’s sixth goal of the season saw Swansea City secure a first home league win of the campaign against Huddersfield on the Terriers last visit to the Swansea.com Stadium.

The Dutchman took his tally to half dozen in just nine appearances when he finished off a flowing team move in the 17th minute.

The former PSV Eindhoven man could easily have had a couple more goals to his name, while Jamie Paterson and Flynn Downes were also unable to take presentable chances.

But it did not matter in the final analysis as Russell Martin’s side ended a run of three consecutive draws and were rewarded for another encouraging display.
