Preview | Swansea City U21s v Millwall U21s
Swansea City Under-21s kick off their 2024 Professional Development League schedule when they welcome Millwall to Landore Training Ground on Monday (2pm).
Swansea kicked off the New Year with Nathaniel MG Cup semi-final success, progressing to the final after a penalty shootout victory over Cardiff Met earlier this week.
The development side are also unbeaten at home in the PDL since November 2022, and finished 2023 with a goalless draw against table-toppers Queens Park Rangers.
The Lions are coached by former Swans striker, Kevin Nugent. Nugent signed for the club in 2003, and went on to make over 70 appearances, scoring 13 goals.
The former Leyton Orient man then went on to assist Kenny Jackett in the coaching set-up during the 2006-2007 season. Following Jackett's dismissal, Nugent stepped up as caretaker manager for three games.
Millwall - who are the current PDL South and National champions - sit second in the standings, level on points with QPR.

Coach Anthony Wright: "We'll keep the momentum from Wednesday and carry that on to Millwall, who will be a tough side and, ultimately, they're the reigning league winners.
"It’s a big week ahead with two games in five days and two opportunities to put some big performances in ahead of the cup final."
Previous meeting - October 24 2022
Liam Cullen and Cameron Congreve were on the scoresheet as Swansea City Under-21s continued their strong home form with victory over Millwall when the Lions last visited Landore in the Professional Development League.
Cullen and Congreve had both featured as late substitutes in the senior side’s south Wales derby victory over Cardiff the previous weekend, and they were quickly back in action as they were among a number of first-team squad members to get valuable game time under their belts.
Cullen opened the scoring as he finished from Congreve’s fine through ball, before the midfielder rattled in a superb strike to double the lead and seal the three points.
