Preview | Swansea City U21s v Colchester United U21s
Swansea City Under-21s get 2025 under way this afternoon when they welcome Colchester United to the Joma High Performance Centre (3pm).
Entry for this fixture is free, and spectators are permitted on site from 2pm.
The Swans have suffered three consecutive defeats in the Professional Development League, with their last win coming against Sheffield Wednesday on November 27.
The U's, meanwhile, come into the fixture on the back of a 4-2 victory against in-form Bristol City. However, they sit bottom of the PDL South table on nine points.
Previous meeting - December 1, 2023
Another Kristian Fletcher hat-trick and a maiden Swansea City Under-21s' goal from Charlie Veevers clinched a third consecutive league victory when Colchester United last visited Landore.
Veevers opened the scoring when he steered the ball into the net from a Kyrell Wilson cross.
And DC United loanee Fletcher then bagged yet another hat-trick - following on from his treble against Ipswich Town in the under-21s' previous fixture.
He netted two quickfire goals within three minutes in the first period, then added a thunderous strike approaching the hour mark.
The visitors did deny the home side yet another clean sheet after Kaan Bennett slotted home, but it was no more than a consolation.
