Swansea City Under-21s are back at the Swansea.com Stadium this evening as they welcome Burnley to SA1 in the Professional Development League (7pm).

Tickets for this fixture are FREE, and are still available to claim HERE.

The age-grade side will play a Professional Development League fixture at the stadium for the second time this season, and will be looking to continue their 100 per cent record in SA1, having been unbeaten at the stadium over the last two seasons.

The young Swans were defeated last time out on the road against fourth-placed Bournemouth. However, they had won their two prior fixtures against Watford and Charlton Athletic respectively.

Burnley, meanwhile, come into the fixture on the back of consecutive victories against Hull City and Birmingham City.

And there will be a familar face in the dugout for the Clarets, as former Swans midfielder Jack Cork is assistant coach for the visitors' age-grade side.

Coach Anthony Wright: "It's always an experience for our players to play at the stadium, it's a bigger pitch, more fans and a great environment.

"We'll look to put things right from Bournemouth, as we conceded four poor goals and we will not let that happen again, and we want to build on the performances we had before that game.

"Burnley are doing very well in the North division, they'll be a tough side to face and we look forward to it."

Swansea City 1 Burnley 2

Swansea City suffered their first home defeat of the season as a late Burnley goal gave the visitors the three points on their last visit to Landore in the Professional Development League in April 2024.

Tom Tweedy grabbed the winner to condemn the young Swans to a league defeat in SA1 for the first time since November 2022.

The Clarets had taken the lead in the first half through Tommy McDermott’s penalty, before Kyrell Wilson responded with a smart finish for the home side after the break.

But a late goal from ex-Swan Tweedy settled the contest, and put a dent in Swansea's play-off ambitions.
