Swansea City Under-18s are in action on home turf for the final time this season as they welcome Cardiff City to Landore for their south Wales derby on Tuesday afternoon (2pm).

The young Swans suffered defeat on the road last time out against Colchester United, in a fixture that saw the welcome return of goalkeeper Sam Seager after enduring 16 months on the sidelines through injury.

Cardiff suffered an 8-4 defeat against high-flying Millwall recently, but the visitors are still on course for a third-place finish in the southern division of the Professional Development League.

The Swans have hosted the Bluebirds already this season in the PDL Cup, and claimed a 4-2 victory thanks to a Sammy Henia-Kamau hat-trick and a Jack Fanning header.

Coach Jarred Harvey: "We will treat it like any other game, but we know who the opponents are, and sometimes emotions can get in the way because of that.

"It's our last home game of the season, and we would like to finish the campaign well in front of their friends and families."

A hat-trick from Tanatswa Nyakuhwa condemned Swansea City Under-18s to defeat against their Cardiff counterparts at Landore Training Ground when the sides last met in the league in SA1.

The Swans had led through Josh Carey's strike just before the half-hour mark, but the visitors were to bounce back with two goals in six minutes from Japhet Matondo and Tanatswa Nyakuhwa to lead going into the interval.

And it was Nyakuhwa who netted twice in the second half to complete his hat-trick and ensure the Bluebirds went away with all three points.
