Preview | Swansea City Ladies v Pontypridd United Women
Swansea City Ladies return to home action this afternoon as they host Pontypridd United Women at Llandarcy Academy of Sport (2pm kick-off).
The Swans will be looking to bounce back from disappointment last time out where they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Cardiff City.
A first half brace for Phoebe Poole sealed three points for the Bluebirds despite a late surge from Swans which saw them hit the woodwork twice.
Pontypridd played out the phase two of the 2021-22 season in the Plate Conference – a four team league fighting relegation. They won the Plate Conference and will undoubtedly be eying a top-four finish in phase one this term.
Pontypridd have got one win under their belt so far – a victory over Aberystwyth - and are on the same points as The New Saints and Aberystwyth.
Swans are currently on six points having seen off Cardiff Met and Barry Town in the opening two games. Ceri Phillips' side will undoubtedly want to put last weekend’s defeat behind them with a performance and result to match.

"This week, like always, we've focused on ourselves and what we want to do in the game."
PREVIOUS MEETING
Swansea City Ladies made it seven wins from as many league matches with victory over Pontypridd Town Women last time the two sides met at Llandarcy.
Despite the Genero Adran Premier leaders creating a handful of chances in the first half, the Swans were unable to break the deadlock.
However, the three points were secured by Chris Church’s side in the second half with Katy Hosford and Chloe Tiley both finding the back of the net.
