PREVIEW: Swans U21s v Stoke U21s
23rd August
PLEASE NOTE: Kick-off time at Landore has been moved to 7pm due to Stoke having transport issues.
Swans Under-21s look to build momentum in Premier League Division Two when they host Stoke City at Landore training ground (7pm) on Monday.
The young Swans earned their first win in category one football at Brighton last Monday thanks to a goal from debutant Oliver McBurnie.
The Potters, meanwhile, secured their first win of the season in their last game at home to Wolves.
Gary Richards and Cameron Toshack took charge of the U21s for the 1-0 win over Brighton following a coaching reshuffle at the academy.
And David Adams, who will continue to work alongside them as Head of Coaching, says he expects the side to continue their momentum on Monday night.
"The performance from the team in the first two games has been really pleasing," Adams said.
"It was good to get off the mark with a win against Brighton - it was important we got over the line and earned our first win at this level.
"Joe (Rodon) and Daniel (James), who are both under-18 players, continue to impress. Both have made the step up very easily but it is important to keep pushing players at this level so they continue to learn and develop.
"Stoke will be a different challenge. They are a physically strong and well-organised team, but we are looking forward to the game.
"We must look to keep the ball like we have done in our first two games and look to pass the ball and play our way."
