Preview | Stoke City v Swansea City
Swansea City will look to build on their weekend victory when they take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium tonight (7.45pm).
The Swans claimed a 2-1 win at Rotherham United on Saturday with Alan Sheehan in caretaker charge.
The Irishman remains at the helm for this midweek fixture, and he has challenged the squad to back that result up in the Potteries.
They face a Stoke side sitting three points and four places behind them in the table, and who have lost their last four games in succession, leading to the departure of manager Alex Neil on Saturday.
TEAM NEWS
Sheehan is likely to have the same squad to choose from as at the weekend.
The game will come too soon for Kristian Pedersen, Joe Allen, Mykola Kuharevich and Nathan Wood, although all are nearing a return.
Josh Ginnelly is a long-term absentee, while Sheehan could be tempted to make changes given the short turnaround between two long away trips.
PRE-MATCH VIEWS
Alan Sheehan: "We enjoyed the victory at the weekend but the focus has had to switch very quickly to this game.
"Wins are the Championship are hard to come by, but we need to try and make it a habit.
"If we train and prepare in the same fashion we did last week, then it will give us the best chance of putting a run together.
"It's a quick turnaround, but it's down to us to continue to give it everything as a group and as a club, and be ready to perform and go again."
Paul Gallagher: “Swansea are a good footballing team and have a style of play in which they’ll want to keep possession, but we are at home, need to be positive and get some consistency back and try and play on the front foot.
“They’re similar to us, they have played some good football but have been on the end of some results that they didn’t deserve to be and that is how the Championship is. It is so demanding, relentless and you have to be on your mettle in every game.”
MEET THE OFFICIALS
The experienced David Webb is the man in the middle for this evening's game.

REMEMBER THE LAST TIME?
Swansea City were denied just a second win in the Potteries since 2001 as Tyrese Campbell's last-gasp strike snatched a point for Stoke on their last visit to the bet365 Stadium in August 2022.
Joel Piroe had grabbed his second goal of the season with a fine finish from Matty Sorinola’s excellent cross in just the sixth minute.
Swansea could easily have added to their tally, Ollie Cooper, Piroe, Jay Fulton and Matt Grimes all having good opportunities.
And, despite defending stoically for so much of the night, they paid for those missed chances when substitute Campbell finished from close range as the Swans suffered late disappointment.
PRIME NUMBERS
2 - Swansea have won just two of their 13 games at the bet365 Stadium this century, with those wins coming in 2001 and 2021 respectively.
8 - Swansea have got the eighth-best away record in the Championship, picking up 13 points from 10 games on their travels.
