Preview: Spurs v Swans
25th August
The Swans will be hoping to register their first win of the season when they take on Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday (4pm).
Following their 5-1 victory over Petrolul Ploiesti in midweek, Michael Laudrup's men now face a Spurs side who also scored five in their Europa League game on Thursday.
Against a team they have only managed to take one point from since entering the Premier League, the Swans will need to perform somewhere near their best if they are to record a first ever win against Spurs on their own turf.
Tottenham, who have not been defeated in the Premier League since March, will be looking to build on their opening day win over Crystal Palace.
Team news
Nathan Dyer is a doubt for the Swans after he sat out Thursday's Europa League clash against Petrolul Ploiesti with a hamstring injury.
Spurs will be without Emmanuel Adebayor, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Lewis Holtby but hope to have Aaron Lennon and Jan Vertonghen back after they both missed Thursday's win against Dinamo Tbilisi.
What they said
Swans boss Michael Laudrup: "You have to play everyone and it will be difficult - but we are confident going into the game.
"They had a very good squad last season, and they have bought some good players this summer.
"It may be a different Spurs to the one we played last year, but it will still be tough."
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas: "We will continue to be focused on our objectives, so we transfer back to the Premier League against Swansea which is extremely important.
"We didn't use excuses when we played in the league after a European game last season and this is part of the philosophy on how to embrace this competition.
"It is a long trip but we have enough time to recover and I think we will be fresh for Swansea."
