Swansea City Ladies are in Genero Adran Premier action tonight as they take on Port Talbot Town Ladies at Victoria Road (7.30pm).

The fixture is Swansea’s game in hand and three points will see the two-time defending champions create a three-point gap ahead of second placed Cardiff City and move six clear of third-placed Cardiff Met.

Port Talbot have had a tough start to the season and have only six points on the board after nine matches.

Chris Church (head coach): “We have been given plenty of challenges so far from different teams and I expect the same challenge and determination from Port Talbot. We have been posed different problems and we have come up with solutions to those problems.

“Firstly, it is about getting the three points on offer and putting us clear at the top.

“This game is a defining game in some ways, because if we win it puts pressure on the rest of the league and puts pressure on Cardiff who are chasing us.

“My players are ready to get the job done and then we can assess Sunday afterwards.”

Remember the last time?

Port Talbot frustrated the Swans in the last meeting between the two sides in a goalless draw at Victoria Road.

Swansea controlled the flow of the match but were dealt a blow at the end of the first half as Emma Beynon was shown a second yellow card.

Despite this, the defending champions remained firmly on top but ultimately, they were unable to find the winner.
