Swansea City Women return to Genero Adran Premier action as they travel to face The New Saints Women this afternoon (2pm kick-off).

The Swans come into the game following two consecutive wins, having beaten Cardiff Met Women 2-1 in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup in their most recent outing.

TNS also come into the fixture with back-to-back wins to their name. Their last game saw them defeat Genero Adran North side Connah’s Quay Nomads Women 3-0 in the cup.

The hosts currently sit third in the league table, only ahead of the fifth-placed Swans on goal difference.

PRE-MATCH VIEWS

Chris Church vs Cardiff Met

Swansea City Women’s interim coach Chris Church: “It’s nice to get back into league action after a good cup win, and there’s no better place to do it than at a good side like TNS.

“I think you can see all the way through the club at the moment that morale is really on the up, hopefully that can continue, and it will help us going forward.

“It’s important to keep this run going, it is a long trip but we can’t let those things be an excuse, we’ve done it for years.

“It’s about, as a squad, preparing the best way that we can and going out there to keep that momentum going.”

PREVIOUS MEETING

Katy Hosford Nia Rees Swans Ladies vs Abergavenny

The previous meeting between the sides came in last season's Genero Adran Premier second phase, with TNS coming out on top 2-1 at Park Hall.

Beth Lewis put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot early in the first half, before Katy Hosford equalised for the Swans with a stunning free kick.

But Emily Ridge would add a second for TNS in the second half to earn three points in the penultimate game of the 2022-23 campaign.
