Swansea City Under-21s are back on the road as they travel to Essex to take on Colchester United in the Professional Development League at Florence Park on Friday (2pm).

It's the second fixture in five days for the young Swans, after their 2-0 victory over Burnley on Monday evening at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The Swans come into the fixture with three wins from their last four, after they suffered a 4-0 defeat to high-flying AFC Bournemouth last time out away from home.

Colchester haven't won a league fixture in 12 games, their last victory was against seventh-placed Bristol City in December.

Coach Anthony Wright: "We're back on the road, and they're all long trips and they're coming thick and fast.

"You could see in the last 20 minutes on Monday that the travelling is catching up, but again, we won't make excuses and we'll hopefully take on that performance to Friday."
