Preview | Cardiff City Women v Swansea City Women
Swansea City Women look for a first piece of silverware since 2022 when they face Cardiff City Women in the Genero Adran Trophy final at the SDM Glass Stadium this evening (5.10pm kick off).
The Swans will look to pick up their third Adran Trophy, with the 2016 and 2021 winners reaching this season's final after a 5-1 win over The New Saints.
Genero Adran Premier champions Cardiff are seeking to win the trophy for the first time in their history, having been losing finalists in the last three seasons.
The clash is the sixth meeting of the season between the Swans and the Bluebirds, with Cardiff picking up three wins and the Swans winning twice in the previous five.
PRE-MATCH VIEWS
Swansea City Women’s interim head coach Chris Church: “The south Wales derby is always a big game, we’ve played them numerous times this season, but with a cup on the line it makes it even more special.
“We’ve had a really intense period of games; the players can be incredibly proud of their efforts throughout the season, and hopefully they can get a reward for that.
“Every game is different, but we want that same type of energy and performance from the players that we had in our last game against Cardiff.
“These players have been there and done it before, they know how to manage this kind of occasion and we will definitely be leaning on that experience.”
