Pre-match views

Luke Williams: “Bristol City are a good team, and we know what a good side they are from a very tough game against them earlier this season.

“We will be well supported there, I am sure it is going to be a good atmosphere so, come on, let’s be ready to play.

“The guys are hungry and motivated to play, and we know we are going to have to make a good performance if we want to get a positive result. So let’s go.

“I have a lot of confidence in the group, we are having a tough time and there is no hiding away from that, but they have also played some very good football at times this season.

“They have been very competitive in nearly all games until some tough ones in this recent run, so let’s show what we are capable of.”

Liam Manning: "We're in a good spot I think. Naturally, you reflect back on the games we've had so far, probably a little bit frustrated and disappointed given how well, at times, the lads have performed but we're in a good spot.

"The weekend was terrific, it kind of epitomised everything that you want culturally; the toughness, the resilience, the togetherness, the fight we had to show for 60 minutes with 10 men.

"It speaks volumes about the group of lads we've got. I was really proud of them at the weekend, I thought they were excellent and it's taking that same level of focus into this week."

Remember the last time?

Joe Allen Bristol City

Swansea City suffered defeat at Ashton Gate after a second-half Rob Dickie goal proved the difference.

The Swans had the better of the first half, dominating in terms of possession and chances created, but weren’t able to make the most of their opportunities.

The second half was more even with Przemysław Płacheta and Mark Sykes having good chances for either side, before Bristol City defender Dickie got the final touch following a corner routine to condemn the Swans to defeat.
