Preview | AFC Bournemouth U18s v Swansea City U18s
Swansea City Under-18s continue their Professional Development League Cup campaign when they travel to face AFC Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon (12.30pm).
The Swans kicked off their cup campaign with a comfortable 4-2 win over Cardiff City in September, which saw Sammy Henia-Kamau net his first hat-trick for the club, with Jack Fanning also amongst the goals.
The fixture marks the first time the Swans and Cherries have met competitively and under-18 level, and they will face each other a further two times this season after Bournemouth's academy gained category two status prior to the 2023-24 season.
In the 2022-23 PDL Cup campaign, Bournemouth finished third in their group, with finalists Birmingham City sealing top spot. The Cherries lost 4-1 in their opening game of this season's competition to Plymouth Argyle in September.
Last season, the young Swans side also bowed out in the group stage following defeat to Argyle, whom they will face once again in their final group stage fixture on November 25.

Coach Ollie Jefferies: "The cup competition always gives the boys motivation and they're always up for it.
"It's also a great part of their development, as they play teams who aren't always part of their regular game programme.
"We'll go into the final two away games of the competition with everything we've worked on, sticking to their principles, what they know and taking in their individual skills.
"The Cardiff game was a great way to kick off the competition, and we'll work on maintaining that against Bournemouth."
Striker Sammy Henia-Kamau: "We've got two away games left in the cup. We've got to work on our away form, but the cup always gives us a bit of a buzz.
"We were all happy with the win against Cardiff, and hopefully we can bring that motivation and performance away for these next two games."
