Potter: We got our rewards
Graham Potter was delighted to see his Swansea City players get their rewards for a strong performance in their 3-0 win over Brentford.
The Swans completed a clean sweep of wins against the Bees this season thanks to Nathan Dyer’s first-half brace, and a late clincher from Daniel James.
It ended a run of four games where the Swans had tasted defeat despite performing strongly.
But they showed no sign of any after-effects from those disappointments with an emphatic win under the lights at the Liberty, where they have now won six of their last nine games, suffering just one defeat.
“I am delighted, the performance - especially the first half - was of a really high level and it was nice for us to get the rewards for that performance,” said manager Potter.
“It’s three points, three goals, a clean sheet, we hit the crossbar a couple of times and had real courage.
“I thought first half we had everything we have been working towards. I thought we took another step forward.
“I am really pleased for the players, they have had a bit of pain as you can imagine. But I think we have stayed quite consistent.
“We were aware of the quality of our performances, we just had not turned those into results to it is nice to do that tonight and get the three points.
“I am pleased and proud of the players, they have stuck together through a difficult period and got their rewards.”
