Sam Parker and Josh Ginnelly have returned to training for Swansea City, but Kristian Pedersen is facing a spell on the sidelines.

Wingers Parker and Ginnelly have been working their way back from longstanding injury problems, but have been fit enough to join in with the rest of the squad in the lead up to Saturday’s game at Hull City.

The pair will not be in contention for that fixture as they will need to build up fitness and sharpness, but head coach Luke Williams has been pleased to see them rejoin the group.

But Pedersen will be absent for a period of time having undergone surgery on a hamstring problem a few weeks ago.

“The squad is looking pretty good, we don’t have anything new to report,” said Williams as he faced the media ahead of the trip to the MKM Stadium.

“We have had Sam Parker training with us for most of the session today, and the same for Josh Ginnelly for most of the session. They will need weeks of training and we have to be careful, but it’s good progress.

“That is positive stuff, Joe Allen is continuing to recover from his injury, Andy Fisher is pretty much there now training with the squad.

“Kristian Pedersen had surgery on a hamstring injury a while back and is rehabilitating, and he won’t be available for the foreseeable.”

Ollie Cooper is also absent for the Swans as he continues to recover from a stress fracture to his foot.
