Play your part this festive season
Swansea City is calling on the Jack Army to help play your part in our local community this festive season by checking in on your friends and neighbours.
Whether it be knocking on the door to offer a cuppa and a catch up, or giving them your phone number to let them know you are there, it all helps to make sure we are there for each other over the Christmas period.
It’s been a challenging time for many of us, and you never know what others may be going through. You could be making a huge difference to someone’s day simply by knocking on the door and giving them a smile.
Swansea City is working with Age Cymru West Glamorgan and Swansea City AFC Foundation to support over-50s in our community.
Our official front-of-home shirt sponsor, Westacres, has joined Age Cymru West Glamorgan’s emergency appeal by making a donation to the charity, while the Foundation has recently launched initiatives aimed at supporting older people this winter.
As well as hosting Cwtch Coffee Mornings, which take place every Tuesday between 9.30am and 11.30am at the Swansea.com Stadium, the Foundation has created warm packs to support people who need them.
In the New Year, is also seeking to introduce activity days for older people. You can have your say on which activity days you feel would be most beneficial by clicking the button below.
If you or anyone you know needs support from Age Cymru West Glamorgan, you can contact the charity on 029 2043 1555 or email advice@agecymru.org.uk
