The Swans caused a major shock at White Hart Lane by beating top-flight Tottenham in a League Cup replay.
Following a 2-2 draw at the Vetch, the Swans - plying their trade in Division Two - took a surprise lead in North London as Nigel Stevenon's corner was headed home by player-manager John Toshack in the 18th minute.
Buoyed by their promising start, the Swans went on to stun the Spurs faithful by doubling their lead. A pinpoint cross from Danny Bartley found Jeremy Charles, and he headed home to give the Swans a 2-0 half-time lead.
Toshack's side were pegged back in the 65th minute as Ossie Ardiles set up Ricky Villa to sidefoot home, but the Swans were not to be denied a famous win.
Tommy Smith's free-kick was flicked on by Alan Waddle and Alan Curtis forced the ball home to book a place in the third-round draw.
It was the Swans' first ever victory at White Hart Lane - a feat they have not achieved since.

Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to inflict a 2-1 defeat on the Swans after Alberto Paloschi scored his first goal for the club.
Paloschi opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a sweeping effort past Hugo Lloris, while man-of-the-match Lukasz Fabianski produced a string of saves to preserve the visitors' lead.
But second-half substitute Nacer Chadli finally broke Swansea's resilience in the 70th minute when he turned in Kyle Walker's long-range shot to make it 1-1.
Rose completed the turnaround just seven minutes later with a low drive from just inside the box.
The defeat means the Swans remain 16th in the Barclays Premier League, three points above the relegation zone.

Spurs edged a five-goal thriller at White Hart Lane in a game overshadowed by the collapse of Bafetimbi Gomis.
The French striker collapsed with no players around him just moments after Spurs had taken an early lead through Nacer Chadli.
The Swans man was conscious as he left the pitch after treatment but could play no further part, while Ki Sung-Yueng levelled for the visitors before half-time.
Two goals in nine minutes from Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend put Spurs back in control, but Gylfi Sigurdsson volleyed home to set up a tense finish.
And the Swans almost claimed a point when Federico Fernandez saw his header somehow clawed away by a fine save from Hugo Lloris.
