Past meetings: Swans v Blackburn
As the Swans get set to host Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night (7.45pm), we look back at some previous encounters between the clubs.
Here we recall past home clashes with Blackburn in the Premier League and the old Second Division.

Premier League – April 14, 2012
The Swans all but secured survival in their maiden Premier League season thanks to this comprehensive victory over Blackburn at the Liberty.
Brendan Rodgers’s team were impressive as they dismantled a Rovers outfit who were heading for relegation.
Gylfi Sigurdsson put the Swans in front before Scott Sinclair and Danny Graham combined to tee up Nathan Dyer for the second goal.
And any hope of a Rovers revival was killed off when Sigurdsson hit the post from point-blank range and the ball ricocheted into the net off Scott Dann.

Division Two – April 4, 1981
The Swans had won at Derby County in their previous game to breathe life into their hopes of winning promotion to the top flight for the first time in their history.
They would get there, of course, thanks to an eight-game unbeaten sequence at the business end of the season which began with the Derby success.
That was followed up with this 2-0 victory over Blackburn, with Nigel Stevenson and the impressive Leighton James scoring in the second half.
A month later, the Swans beat another Lancashire club, Preston North End, to book a place in the First Division.

Division Two – August 18, 1956
The Swans kicked off the new Second Division season in style as they thumped Blackburn at Vetch Field, although the scoreline flattered the hosts a little.
Ivor Allchurch put the Swans in front early on before Mel Charles took centre stage.
Charles grabbed the home side’s second goal before half-time, then scored three more in the second period to give Ron Burgess’s men a fine start to the 1956-57 campaign.
