Past meetings: Brentford v Swans
As Swansea City get set for Saturday’s trip to Brentford, we look back at some previous trips to Griffin Park.
Here we recall past meetings in the Championship and the old Second Division.

League One – September 12, 2006
A brace from Leon Knight saw Kenny Jackett’s Swansea City side ease to victory on their last visit to Griffin Park, which was back in 2006.
Knight was on top form for the visitors, drilling a low effort inside the far post from the edge of the penalty area on 37 minutes.
The striker doubled his and Swansea’s tally for the evening with an excellent individual effort in the second half, cutting inside to fire into the top corner.
A joyful away day was almost made even better as both Adebayo Akinfenwa and Leon Britton stuck the woodwork for the visitors.

League One play-off semi-final – May 14, 2006
Leon Knight scored twice as the Swans secured their place in the League One play-off final thanks to a 2-0 victory at Griffin Park.
Jackett’s men looked to be in a bit of trouble after drawing the first leg of the semi-final 1-1 at the Liberty.
But Knight put the Swans ahead in the tie inside 10 minutes in West London, as he lifted the ball over Brentford goalkeeper Stuart Nelson from 20 yards out.
The striker quickly added his second goal, racing onto a pass from Leon Britton before powering home to make it 2-0.
Rory Fallon had a great chance to make it 3-0 but his headed effort flew off target.
Goalkeeper Willy Gueret was on top form for the visitors, making a series of spectacular saves to ensure a second trip to the Millennium Stadium in as many months following the Swans’ Football League Trophy success.

Division Four – November 19, 1977
Goals from Alan Curtis and Micky Conway saw the Swans claim a comfortable win at Brentford in 1977.
Curtis found the net inside 11 minutes before Conway doubled the Swans’ lead just three minutes later.
Brentford upped the ante when Swans full-back Wyndham Evans was shown a red card on the hour, but a reshaped defence did well to keep the Bees out.
The win was the Swans’ first away victory of the season in a campaign which would see them win promotion to Division Three.

FA Cup first-round replay – November 22, 1971
An exceptional performance from goalkeeper Tony Millington helped the Swans progress to the second round of the FA Cup.
Having drawn at home in the original tie just two days before this game, the Swans attacked from the start of the replay and found themselves 2-0 up inside 25 minutes thanks to goals from Alan Williams and Dave Gwyther.
Brentford got a goal back before half-time, but Geoff Thomas scored what proved to be the decisive goal before the home side responded once more to make it 3-2.
The Swans would go on to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup, eventually losing to Second Division Portsmouth.
