'Pace and power'
Leroy Fer believes the return of Jefferson Montero and Wilfried Bony will give Swansea City added pace and power in the coming fixtures.
Both returned to action last weekend as Graham Potter’s side won 1-0 at Bolton, with Montero and Bony introduced off the bench.
Montero made his first appearance since the victory at Milwall on September 1 – a game in which he set up both goals in a 2-1 comeback win for the ten-man Swans – following a thigh injury.
Bony, meanwhile, got his first minutes of the season under his belt as he completed his return from a nine-month injury lay-off after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament against Leicester City last February.
And skipper Fer insists seeing them back in a Swans shirt will prove a big boost for Potter’s squad.
“I’m delighted for Jeff and Wilfried. It was great to see them back playing,” said Fer.
“Jeff has had a few injuries over the last few years but he’s an amazing threat. He can win a game in ten minutes with his pace, so we are really happy to have him back.
“It’s awesome to have Wilfried back after a nine-month lay-off. He can win a game with his strength.
“He’s so important to us and you could tell how happy the fans were to have him back as they were signing his name over and over. It was great to hear.”
