Olivier Ntcham says the team comes first after he once again came off the bench to find the net in Swansea City’s draw with Bristol City.

With Russell Martin’s side trailing 1-0 to Tommy Conway’s first-half effort at Ashton Gate, substitute Ntcham found the net as his volley from the edge of the box flew into the bottom corner of the net with less than quarter of an hour to play.

It was the Cameroon international’s fourth goal of the season, with three of those having come from the bench against Blackpool, West Brom and now Bristol City.

While Ntcham would of course prefer to be starting games rather than being called upon later in proceedings, his focus is on contributing as much as possible for Swansea City.

“I thought it was a good game, even if we maybe did not start so well,” he said.

“In the end we were disappointed not to win the game as we finished the game strong.

“But we did not lose, we got a point, so this is good.

“With the goal it seems to be happening a lot at the moment, and I am happy to score and happy to help the team.

“Of course it is good to be scoring goals, but I don’t care about the numbers so much, for me it is more important to help the team to do well.

“I want us to go on from here and try and win these next two or three games.

“Confidence is high at the moment and over the last five or six games we have played really well, apart from at Burnley.

“We showed the spirit of the team and we are looking forward to the next game.”
