Olivier Ntcham finding best form at Swansea City
Olivier Ntcham feels he is finding his best form in a Swansea City shirt after scoring his second goal in as many games in Wednesday’s win over Watford.
The Cameroon international found the back of the net shortly after half-time at Vicarage Road, drawing his side level after going behind and he is pleased to have found some form after a difficult start to the season which saw him in and out of the side and the squad.
But head coach Russell Martin has praised the response from the former Celtic midfielder, with Ntcham also on the scoresheet in the win at West Brom.
And the 26-year-old says there is more to come, not just from himself, but from the team too.
“I think it was a big win for us and I think we deserve everything we’re getting at the moment,” said Ntcham.
“We’ve had a tough time and even if the situation at the end of the game [17 minutes of added time due to a faulty communication kit for one of the officials] was a bit strange, we dealt with it well and we’re all really pleased with the result.
“I hope I can continue to help the team, and also improve little bits of everything I’m doing.
“I think the game on Wednesday was good, but I think we can improve all the time on the small details – not just for me but for the team too.
“Game after game, we are feeling more confident because we’ve been true to our style. We are building strong confidence now because are learning how to deal with the pressure for 95 minutes and that’s the difference between before and now.
“We have to continue this form. If you look at the league, we are in a good position right now. We are taking things game by game, not getting carried away, and focusing on the next opposition.”
