Olivier Ntcham | The fans helped us in difficult moments this season
Olivier Ntcham has thanked Swansea City's fans for their support throughout a 2022-23 season which had plenty of ups and downs.
The Cameroon international finished the season in fine fashion, scoring his eighth goal of the campaign in a dramatic 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion on the final day of the campaign.
The victory took the Swans to nine games unbeaten in the Championship, picking up 23 points from a possible 27 in that time and securing a top-10 finish.
For Ntcham, it was his 11th goal contribution this season, his best return in any season.
“I’m really proud for myself and the team,” he said of the victory over the Baggies.
“It’s a good result, and I was happy to win the last game of the season.
“I think it was a long, tough season for everyone. We had good moments and bad moments. For me, I ended the season on eight goals, which I’m proud of, but I think I can do better.
“It was a pleasure to play in front of the fans this season. They supported us, even in the difficult times, and we were all in it together and that is the best for the team and manager.
“I think it’s really positive because we know each other now and we got very close to the play-offs. I think next season that can be our target.”
