Oli thrilled to play a part
Oli McBurnie is hoping for more chances to impress after helping Swansea City pull off a remarkable comeback win at Watford.
Swans youngster McBurnie had his biggest impact yet at first-team level after coming off the bench at Vicarage Road.
The Scotland Under-21 man gave Carlos Carvalhal’s team presence in attack and claimed a crucial assist as Jordan Ayew levelled the scores at 1-1 on 86 minutes.
The Swans then snatched victory thanks to Luciano Narsingh’s last-gasp winner.
And McBurnie was thrilled to have played a part in a memorable success.
“When I am in the team I want to have an impact as much as I can,” he said.
“I made my first Premier League start (at Liverpool) this week and have followed that up with an assist against Watford.
“It was great to get my first assist in the Premier League. My aim coming on from the bench was to make an impact on the game.
“Hopefully the gaffer was pleased with what he saw and I can continue to get more chances and build on my performances and help the team further.”
